Spring is the perfect time to seed a new lawn, prune your rose bushes, weed flower beds, add new plants, dethatch your lawn, aerate the soil, and top dress.
When summers rolls around, and for the entire season, avoid watering flowers and outdoor plants during daylight hours. The water droplets will magnify and concentrate the sun’s beams, burning the vegetation.
Fall is the best time to plant or move trees and to plant bulbs for spring flowers (around mid October). Don’t forget to keep watering your evergreens, otherwise they’ll become parched in wintertime.
All winter long, make sure the snow on your lawn is well distributed, as best you can. Although snow is cold, it serves as insulation for your property, conserving a maximum amount of heat and humidity to keep your lawn from drying out.
